This Privacy Policy explains how Maddox & Muñiz, PLLC ("Maddox & Muñiz," "the firm," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website (the "Site"), submit a contact form, schedule a consultation, request information, or otherwise interact with the firm (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described below.

No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of this Site, by submitting a contact form, by speaking with our AI Switchboard, or by sending or receiving information through this Site. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after both you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this Site or by unsecured email until an engagement is in place.
3.1 Information you provide. Name, email, phone number, organization, role, and the contents of any message or document you send when you contact the firm, submit a form, schedule a consultation, or otherwise communicate with us.
3.2 Scheduling information. Details you submit through our scheduling provider, including name, email, phone, time zone, and answers to intake questions.
3.3 Information collected automatically. Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected through standard server logs, cookies, and similar technologies.
3.4 Call audio, transcripts, and metadata. When you call the firm, when our AI Switchboard answers your call, or when an attorney or staff member speaks with you, we may collect audio, transcripts, and metadata for the purposes described below.
Calls to the firm's main line may be answered first by an AI Switchboard that routes calls, takes messages, and schedules consultations. Calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality assurance, training, and to maintain accurate intake records. Texas is a one-party consent state. If you are calling from a state that requires two-party consent and you do not wish your call to be recorded, please inform the Switchboard or your attorney at the beginning of the call and we will accommodate your request.
When you submit a form, schedule a consultation, or otherwise opt in to be contacted, you expressly consent to receive SMS messages and phone calls from Maddox & Muñiz at the phone number you provided, including calls placed by automated dialing systems and AI assistants, for the purposes of responding to your inquiry, confirming scheduled meetings, and following up on the same. Consent is not a condition of any retention. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS, or HELP for help.
We use information to evaluate potential representation, schedule and confirm consultations, respond to inquiries, deliver legal services to engaged clients, meet our professional and ethical obligations under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, operate and improve the Site, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable law.
Communications between the firm and an actual client are protected by attorney-client privilege and the work-product doctrine as those apply under Texas law. Communications from a prospective client before an engagement is signed are handled with the discretion required by Rule 1.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules but are not yet protected by the attorney-client privilege.
